With profound grief and heavy hearts, we mourn the irreplaceable loss of Prof. Abdul Matin, the visionary President and founding pillar of Being A Woman.

Prof. Matin was not just a leader; he was the heart and soul of our organization. From the very foundation of Being A Woman, he stood as an unwavering beacon of hope, compassion, and dedication. His relentless commitment to empowering women, supporting special children, and uplifting marginalized communities has left an indelible mark on countless lives.

A true humanitarian in every sense, Prof. Matin worked tirelessly until his very last breath, devoting his final moments to advancing the noble mission of our NGO. His selfless service, visionary leadership, and boundless energy inspired everyone who had the privilege of working alongside him.

Though he is no longer with us physically, his spirit, teachings, and vision will continue to guide Being A Woman forward. We pledge to honor his memory by carrying forward his mission with the same passion, dedication, and love he showed every day.

May Allah grant Prof. Abdul Matin the highest place in Jannah. May his soul rest in eternal peace.

Who We Are

Being A Woman (Regn. No. S/750/Distt. South/2011) is a registered, Delhi-based NGO dedicated to empowering women and uplifting the most vulnerable sections of society. Since 2011, we have championed economic self-reliance, quality education, inclusive health care, and skill-building for women and children—especially those facing social or physical challenges.

What We Do

  • Education for All: Our Maulana Azad School delivers inclusive education for specially-abled and marginalized children.
  • Women’s Empowerment: We offer skill training, literacy, and economic support to help women become self-reliant.
  • Healthcare & Well-being: We organize free health camps, awareness seminars, and preventive drives with Alshifa Multi Speciality Hospital.
  • Community Engagement: We host events and workshops on nutrition, wellness, and gender sensitization to strengthen communities.

Maulana Azad School, initiated by Being A Woman NGO, is dedicated to fostering holistic learning for specially-abled and socially excluded children. Operating in Jamia Nagar, New Delhi. With over 50+ students empowered so far, this initiative embodies our commitment to building a future where every child has the opportunity to thrive despite challenges.

  • Provides inclusive, quality education since 2018 for specially-abled and marginalized children in Jamia Nagar, Delhi.
  • Supported by qualified special educators, speech therapists, and tailored learning plans focusing on academic and life skills.
  • Plans to expand with dedicated facilities like an open play area and hostel to enhance student growth and well-being.
