Improving Family Health: Free Pediatric & Gynaecology Camp Serves Local Community
June–July 2017 Outreach Report
Focusing on Child and Women’s Health
During June–July 2017, Being A Woman carried forward its health initiative with a dedicated camp offering free pediatric and gynaecology consultations for vulnerable families in the Jamia Nagar community. By collaborating with expert physicians from our trusted healthcare partner, Al-Shifa Multi-Speciality Hospital, we ensured specialized care reached those who need it most.
Essential Services Delivered
- Pediatric Check-ups:
Babies and children received health screenings, growth monitoring, and essential advice for well-being and early childhood development.
- Gynaecology Consultations:
Women benefited from professional gynecological assessments, addressing urgent and ongoing health concerns that often go unspoken in underserved communities.
In total, around 90 patients—children and women—were provided with quality care, guidance, and medical support, all at no cost.
Impact and Community Response
For many participants, it was their first opportunity to consult with doctors specializing in child and women’s health, paving the way for healthier families and improved confidence in seeking ongoing care. Mothers expressed relief and gratitude for answers to health questions and practical advice for their children’s nutrition and growth.
Ongoing Commitment
This camp reaffirms Being A Woman’s dedication to holistic well-being, ensuring that both children and mothers are empowered to build a future of health, dignity, and opportunity.
